County extends office space lease for DA

The county commission last night unanimously approved a lease extension for the 13th Judicial District Court’s office, located in the four-story Wells Fargo Bank building in Belen.

The lease will cost $12,719.61 per month, for a total of $152,635.32 for the length of the lease, according to Kenny Griego, the county’s business manager. The lease amount increased by slightly more than $40 per month over the previous agreement.

The lease will expire on April 30, 2010.
