VCAC calls for a four-lane Highway 47
April 15, 2009

A sign calls for a four-lane Highway 47.
The Valencia County Action Committee (VCAC), the group responsible for pro-hospital signs throughout the county, has placed one or more signs along Highway 47 calling for the roadway to be expanded to four lanes. The signs also calls for a bridge across the Rio Grande to connect Highway 47 with Highway 314 on the west side of the river.
The sign reads: “Keep Our Community Safe. ‘Time for Change.’ Highway 47 2 Lane to 4 Lane & Bridge Crossing Needed Now!!!” and in smaller font at the bottom, “Paid for by VCAC and Citizens for Change.”
Citizens for Change appears to be a new organization somehow related to the Valencia County Action Committee.
