Belen MainStreet seeks board members
March 31, 2010
The Belen MainStreet Partnership, a downtown revitalization group, is seeking additional board members to help existing businesses in the downtown area, while attracting new business to the area.
Belen has been an “emerging community” with the New Mexico MainStreet program since May 2009. The nonprofit partnership is supported by the New Mexico Economic Development Department.
Because of the recent resignation of former Board President Ronnie Torres, the group is seeking a new president and the addition of two or more board members.
The group also has four committees working on downtown revitalization: Organization, Design, Promotion and Economic Positioning. All four committees are seeking citizen involvement.
If you’re interested in helping Belen’s downtown, call 948-4133.
